How to retain the flame retardant during XPS recycling-A discovery recycling way

The other day we launched a fresh XPS flakes and chips recycle machine successfully at customer’s site in Beijing. This is a complete new recycle concept for the margins from the XPS production collection.

Because of the pressure from conservation, CO2 foam XPS creation series is gaining ground. However CO2 foam requires co-blowing agent such as ethanol or DME etc. that are flammable. How exactly to recycle the XPS margins without loss of flame retardant is really a big problem besetting every XPS table manufacturers.

Our effort solves this issue intelligently. The chips and flakes in the margin of the XPS production line or from your unqualified XPS boards is going to be conveyed to some feeding silo by air flow.



These chips and flakes will be pushed into kneading extrusion system which will crush and compact it into semi-molten condition. Then the semi-molten lumps will be extruded right into a heavy sheet that may enter into a pelletizer to create twin screw extruder it into little granules such as the picture.
